My middle son Tom and his wife Makayla on their wedding day...They live in Ottumwa with our grandson Hayden. |

My sister Nancy and I went to a Children's Ministry training in the jungle in Guatemala. (Johan was from Costa Rica.)
Nancy is now a missionary in Africa! |

We love to travel and have been to many far-away places...
Hawaii, Hong Kong, Okinawa, Malaysia, Korea, Austria, Germany, and Canada. I've also been to Guatemala, Mexico, and Cuba. |

This tall guy is our German "son" Chris. He lived with us as an exchange student from Dortmund, Germany and became part of our family. |

I graduated from Iowa State University and am first a Cyclone, but... |

This is my little dog Frodo, named after the main character in one of my favorite movies, "The Lord of the Rings." |

I love all kinds of Christian music and most important of all, Jesus is my best friend! |
My life verse is from Philippians 1:19...
"The thing I want and hope for is that I will not fail Christ in anything.
I hope that I will have the courage now, as always, to show the greatness of Christ in my life here on earth."
